shaving makes the hair appear darker because ur cutting to make a blunt edge compared to natural growth of a hair follicle, which look some what like a thin cone shape...basically when u shave, u cut the tip off, making it appear thicker and more pronounced, when in fact its not, ur just taking the thinnest tip part off. the hair grows the same width, its just cut down to a flatter end after a shave. to get better growth and a more natural hair follicle, wax., ur ripping it out at the root, which means an entirely new hair has to grow..some hair will not get ripped out at the root, and will rip kind of like breaking french bread. so ur making another blunt edge, but if u get it done by someone who is a pro at waxing, they will get almost all the hairs out at the root. hair can change in thickness, but that is not because of waxing or shaving or any of that nonsense. ur hair changes naturally as u age in texture, color, what not. in sure ur hair has changed on ur head as well in some way as u grew up right? same thing happens all over ur body. one example is me, my hair when i was a young toddler, was light brown and curly locks about the same size as a one inch curler would produce. it was thinner in texture as well, more normal for most people. now, my hair strands are thicker, they are dark brown and black, the over all way it falls is wavy and not so curly at all.

Mixing cooking oils?

I am going to attempt to fry a turkey tomorrow, and I bought a 3 gallon jug of peanut oil. After doing the water test, I dont think that is going to be enough oil, and I cant find any more peanut oil anywhere. However, there is plenty of conola oil on the store shelves. I also went to CU and loved it. Boulder is awesome...but you never can be sure and it would suck to transfer, move, etc and then hate it. So the best thing to do would be to come out to Boulder and visit for a few days. Walk around campus...walk around Boulder and check it all out. I think it will be obvious pretty quick if Boulder is right for you.

Reasons for a fetus not to grwo properly?

I'm so sorry for your loss. I miscarried four times. I went for my 12 week check up and the doctor couldn't find a heartbeat three of the times. All three times the fetus stopped growing at 9 weeks. I often wonder what happens in development at 9 weeks that caused the fetuses to die then I guess something doesn't form properly for the fetus to sustain life. It is just kind of nature's way of making sure we don't have babies that are deformed or with brains that didn't grow properly. You will never find a specific reason. Again, I'm sorry for your loss.

I do not understand how my mom said she would accept me, and then goes on to express these borderline phobic views. She never expresses any true hostility, and I truly believe she understands ity as being an inborn trait and that all individuals deserve respect. It is just that she cannot let herself be comfortable with the idea of same- marriage and families. She is an extremely loving and supporting mother. i have a 92 nissan 300zx non turbo automatic. had it 4 about 2 months now and it has now 140xxx miles on it. when i 1st got it everything worked fine. the mechanic who checked it out b4 i bought it said the transmission shifts late but its nothing big. about 1 month after having it i wanted 2 see what it could really do so at a light when it turned green i put it on overdrive and floored the gas. after it started making a ticking sound from somewhere around the engine. ive been told it could be alot of things but im not a car person so i dont know. i had both catalytic convertors changed. i am going 2 buy the best parts 4 my car b4 i bring it in 4 a major tune up (what parts do you guys suggest. sparkplugs and stuff.) now when i start the car it squeaks and then stops. would it be ok 2 just bring my car into a shop have them do a tune up and say "i dont know whats wrong with my car find out and fix it"? money is not an issue time is since this car is a keeper. i want it 2 run perfect

OK...Here's the story...it's long...sorry...I have been dating the same guy for abt 4 yrs now. He's amazing. Well, it sounds like you are asking for a test, but saying that if they don't p the test they repeat the grade. I went from Public to Private schools in 5th grade. I was so far ahead in public schools. Never had homework, was bored out of my mind, and always ended up getting extra curriculum to keep me busy. The reason they may make you repeat is because to keep up with their level the school requires, the child may need to repeat the grade. Its like if all freshman at the private school are doing Calculus, and the highest he had at public schools is Algebra I, they prob won't grasp the concepts. School is all about building blocks, and unless you have a certain foundation you will not make it to the next level. It is unfortunate that it isn't easier to make the transition, but that's why they are "better" schools. They teach more advanced material.

I took a pregnancy test the day after my period was due and it came out negative with maybe a positive result but it was so faint that i just cled it as a evaporation line because it was after 10 minutes that i checked it again. I'm not a psychologist by any means. Pills may not solve the problem but will help with his moods until he see;s someone. The problem is they take about 14 days to start working and it has to be him that asks for the help. Other than that, a trial seperation may be the only answer - harsh but true. You need to be thinking about yourself and your baby right now and not worrying about him. I cant take being married ?

You could try this solution. Press a small strip of sticky tape (eg sellotape) firmly over the "material" you want to remove. Then remove the tape in one sharp movement. OK, so I was eating lunch in my university dining hall today, and while I was eating, a girl at a nearby table shouted randomly, "Holy sh*t!" (just due to a conversation), two times in a row. What kind of animals could I raise on a 5 acre area?

I have 20 acres of land and I want to fence off about 5 acres of it and raise livestock. In the 5 acres there is about 1 acre of gry field, 1/2 and acre of mossy wetlands, the rest of it would be wooded with mostly pines, and low growing plants (ferns etc) Also have some cherry trees and i will be planting some apple trees. The area also has a Pond and a 1ft deep slow moving creek running along one of the sides of it. Its upstate NY in the foothills so the average summer temp is 75F, and it can get -10f in the winter with 2/12 -3 feet of snow. I'm looking to get livestock just for my own and my 2 dogs consumption (they currently eat a chicken a day between the 2 of them). Not looking for anything crazy to make money with, just want to be more self sufficient without having to dedicate my whole day to caring for the animals. Any good suggestions?

Why do people have to buy infants or a child?

Who thinks it is wrong to buy a child. I for one do there are so many people that can't have children and all at the same time they can't afford to adopt. Why does it cost so much money. The governmaent really needs to realize that the children need a good family unconditional love and they need to be cared for and so much more . There are so many people out there would give anything in the world to have a child. My husband and I cannot have children together do to he is fixed and i have not been able to concieve even before he got fixed. Cold weather is very hard on citrus. Most authorities on the subject suggest not even trying it. Big citrus areas, like Southern California go to great lengths to keep the trees from freezing on the few nights of the year it gets that cold. I have a dwarf blood orange that I have to protect from freezing where I am, and it never has produced great fruit - so sour we call it our blood lemon tree! I think it suffers just too much stress every winter. I've never heard of a citrus developed for colder climates. Good luck!

Hi. The difference between the first 2 you have listed are small. Mostly just the packaging. The 2nd one came out to promote 'The Day After Tomorrow' by giving free movie tickets to see it along with a sneak peek at that movie. The 3rd one you have listed is just a cheaper version of the first 2 without as many Special Features. However, ALL 3 versions contain the 'Theatrical Cut' of the movie AND the 'Special Version' with 9 extra minutes of footage and all contain the 'Original Unused Ending' bonus feature which I won't spoil for you. The Special Edition is the one I always watch because it has a couple extra characters not in the Theatrical Version, and the movie still moves right along. So you can really just pick the cheapest, or if you want ALL the HBO specials and 'making ofs' then pick one of the first 2. Either way, you can't go wrong :-) Enjoy!

What did you think of Blood Diamond???

I thought it was amazingly good. It was a very accurate story based in facts but at the same time it was a very real heartfelt story that was very believable and tapped in to all of our emotions. I thought it was very well-done. I got a tear in my eye when Dia held the gun up to Solomon. The pain in both of their eyes was just tragic. The actor who played Solomon was very good and played such a vulnerable character that you wanted to help him. He is amazing. Overall, i think ppl really do need to think about what their jewels means to them...it's silly to want something only to look a certain way, feel special..when you know where and how we get them here to our safe little world..where nothing matters but what we have. I reccommend this movie to everyone! A+++

I wanted to see what the difference was between Yahoo Premium services and the free account to decide if I should switch to GMail, so I cancelled my premium service. I promptly received a popup message "to protect you your account has been suspended for up to 48 hours" when trying to send emails. While 48 hours suspension for no reason and with no resolution given may sound reasonable to people who don't use their email for work, this is unacceptable to those of us who do. I've had no similar problems in the past so will wait 24 before packing up my account to GMail.
