Why do few men scold or talk rudely to their wives in front of their friends or family members?

I personally think its because they find theirselves weak in front of the women or even the man who they`re yaling on ther/him.A powerfull person wont do such a thing.So as an Arian(persian)woman who is one of the victimes frome so many other Araian women in Iran I tell you that i feel the misurablity in their every single sentence.No one would do it unless she/he is weak.
