Will Europe join forces with China or Russia?

in the Future the top two countries will be Russia and China, but Europe as a collective will have to decide which one to favour. Central Asia is historically Russia's backyard and now China is venturing into it, this could prove a flash point. China and Russia have been trying to sweet talk Europe, even Russia is now being nice to Britain to win Europes cooperation. What do you think?
